A vacancy for the post a Credit Control Executive has arisen within the Finance Department of Simonds Farsons Cisk plc.
The selected candidate is responsible to ensure that the Company’s cash flow and results are maximised through the effective implementation of a credit control policy.
Reporting to the Finance and Credit Control Manager, the selected candidate shall be responsible for:
- The collection of cash allocation from all debtors
- Ensuring credit application/modification forms are being compiled accurately in line with company policy;
- Identifying the credit worthiness of clients; investigating credit history and references as required;
- Maintaining accurate and up to date customer credit data on the company’s system;
- Handling disputed accounts and negotiates to bring payment into line according to company policy procedures;
- Anticipating developments and identifying accounts that will require special attention.
- Ensuring the credit department interacts well with customers and departmental colleagues
- Debriefing of truck-runs, raising credit notes for returned goods and reconciling bank deposits with depot daily transactions.
The selected candidate/s shall:
- have an accounting background with a certification at MQF level 4 or 5;
- have a minimum a 3-year experience in a similar commercial credit control function;
- be self-motivated, show initiative and capable to work independently under pressure handling multiple tasks simultaneously, under minimal supervision;
- have strong computer skills (preferably Microsoft packages);
- be a clear and concise communicator both internal and external clients/stakeholders;
- be honest and trustworthy with an ability to work under pressure.
