Chef de Partie - The Brewhouse Co. Ltd. 6/1/2022

Vacancies have arisen within the KETTLES CAFÉ team for the post of Chef de Partie. 

Reporting to the Head Chef, the selected candidates will be responsible for all aspects of food preparation, planning and serving whilst ensuring that the standard and the quality of the food production, as well as the hygiene in all kitchen areas, is maintained at the highest of levels.

Main duties shall include:

  • Keeping up to date with all health and hygiene rules and regulations.
  • Preparing food as per preparation requirements.
  • Overseeing and monitoring kitchen porters to ensure they are following their duties according to outlet procedures.
  • Ensuring wastage is minimised and treated according to company procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with sanitary food handling procedures and stock rotation systems.
  • Ensuring all areas of the kitchen are kept clean and always organised, including fridges, stores, preparation area and pot-wash areas.
  • Assisting other staff in cleaning of the kitchen at the end of shift.
  • Taking good care of equipment and reporting any issues with equipment to the Head Chef / Manager.

Most importantly the successful applicants will need to:

  • have relevant qualification in Food Preparation or Culinary Arts or equivalent,
  • have a minimum of 2 years of working experience in a similar role,
  • have an eye for detail and be quality driven,
  • have a good knowledge of HACCP standards,
  • have good organizational and communication skills,
  • can work under pressure and handle several concurrent tasks,
  • be committed to working on public holidays, weekends, and special days,
  • be ICT literate, ideally in possession of ECDL certification.
