Leading bands attracting huge crowds at The Farsons Great Beer Festival 7/30/2009

Thousands of visitors have thronged the 29th edition of The Farsons Great Beer Festival on each night to watch the spectacular performances of several of Malta’s leading bands and artists. While beer takes the centre stage at the open-air festival, running till Sunday, 2nd August at Ta’ Qali Park, this popular festival is also an important showcase for top Maltese talent.

“Live performances are integral to The Farsons Great Beer Festival. Thousands of visitors came to the Beer Festival every night to watch the festival favourites. All this shows the public's enthusiasm for the Maltese product and Maltese talent,” said Ivan Filletti, Field Marketing Manager at Simonds Farsons Cisk plc.

The line-up on the Main Stage and the Rock Stage for tonight and the coming days is as follows:

Friday, 31 July

Rock Stage:      Beige, Eve Ransom, Airport Impressions

Sunday, 2 August
Main Stage:      Ozzy Lino, Kylie, Versatile Brass Band
Rock Stage:      Scream Daisy, Fakawi & Teletubi

During the festival, beer lovers have the opportunity to taste Farsons local brews produced exclusively for export – Farsons Strong Ale and Cisk Extra Strong. There is also a vast selection of local and international award-winning beers available from 13 different bars. All these are accompanied by a great variety of foods from the Food Court area.

The Farsons Great Beer Festival is sponsored by Vodafone Malta Limited, Peugeot and Banif Bank, and supported by Wilkinson Sword, Hawaiian Tropic, Walkers, Fotoclassic, Alert Communications, and the Malta Tourism Authority. Other participants include Nestlé, Peperami and Liquigas Malta Ltd.
