L&D and Performance Manager 11/07/2017

We are seeking to strengthen the Human Resources team by recruiting a Learning, Development and Performance Manager. Reporting to Group HR Manager, the chosen person will have an instrumental role in facilitating the productivity and career development paths throughout the company through learning and development.

S/he will primarily be responsible to drive the Learning and development and overall performance development strategy within the Farsons Group in line with the 6roups vision to develop a highly performing organization.

The selected person will be responsible to:

  • Oversee the technical training with the aim to drive operational excellence and quality of our products;
  • Create development plans for employees within the Farsons Group by discussing learning and development needs with the business leaders;        
  • Oversee the performance management process to ensure that we continue to instill a performance driven and engaged workforce;   
  • Drive succession planning and talent management processes across the Group;
  • Communicate and consult with managers and supervisors to develop employee improvement measures;
  • Manage the Apprentice and Internship Programs in collaboration with technical institutions and schools;
  • Manage the Study Subsidy Scheme program;
  • Prepare the training budget and manage the budget along the financial year in line with the programs agreed upon;
  • Lead the various Multiskilling schemes implemented across the various sections;
  • Research, apply for and manage training grants and reimbursement process.


Most important you need to:


  • Have a Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent, together with an A Level Standard of education, with good and fluent writing skills in English and Maltese;
  • Have a minimum of 5 years working experience in an HR environment, preferably in Learning and Development or Organizational Behaviour;
  • Be an effective communicator at all levels;
  • Possess good organizational skills;
  • Possess very strong leadership and team facilitation skills;
  • Be ICT literate including presentation/facilitation skills.
