In July 2013, Jägermeister Malta launched a competition on Facebook to give young up-and-coming DJs the unique opportunity to perform alongside top performers Jon Fitz, Tenishia and many others at a special Sunglasses at Night event at Numero Uno.
All the participating DJs were asked to post their mixes to the Jägermeister Malta Facebook page and then let the mixes do the talking by sharing their music with as many friends as possible.
The mixes with the most shares were judged by a panel of professional DJs and representatives of Farsons Beverage Imports, local distributor of Jägermeister, who selected the best mix.
The lucky winners were a Maltese DJ duo Rene’ Brincat and Ernest Ciantar, who make up the duo RE-NE’ & Er, and are considered to be one of Malta’s upcoming producers of dance music. The duo combined their talents to start producing innovative music at a very young age where they started to experiment with different sounds which led them to their dream of producing their own work.
The duo has been producing music for the past six years, the last track being ‘Angels Calling’ featuring Corazon. The next track by the duo, ‘Perfect Love’ featuring the talented singer Chess, is due to be released soon.
