Fruvia, the new sparkling all-natural juice drink hits the shelves 25/06/2013

Simonds Farsons Cisk plc has launched Fruvia, the latest exciting and innovative addition to its portfolio. A sparkling, all-natural juice drink, Fruvia is naturally sweetened and contains no artificial ingredients or flavourings. Fruvia contains only 70 calories per 330ml can and is available in three refreshing flavours, Luscious Apple, Tangy Red Orange and Zesty Lemon.

Fruvia is one of the first beverages of its kind in Malta that is sweetened using a mix of Stevia, the revolutionary natural sweetener from the stevia leaf, and sugar. Stevia is an extract from the stevia plant, a herb in the Asteraceae family, native to Paraguay, with centuries of safe usage. Stevia has up to 300 times the sweetness of sugar and has no calories or carbohydrates with a zero glycemic index.

Stevia is widely used as a sweetener around the world for a variety of food and beverages. It allows manufacturers to develop products which are all-natural without compromise on taste. It was approved for use as a sweetener in the European Union in 2011. With its popularity growing due to its incredible properties, Stevia seems set to establish itself as the natural sweetener of the future.
