The 32nd edition of The Farsons Beer Festival being held at Ta’ Qali has once again been hailed a great success after drawing massive crowds every night. The festival opened on Friday, 27th July and so far over thirty artists and bands have performed on two stages.

“We are thrilled with the great attendance so far and it is extremely encouraging to see the enthusiasm of for our local artists. The Farsons Great Beer Festival has firmly established itself as the main event in the Maltese summer calendar attracting larger numbers of Maltese and tourists every year,” said Mr Ivan Filletti, Field Marketing Manager at Simonds Farsons Cisk plc.

The live music programme continues tonight with Kyle and the very talented Versatile Brass Band on the Main Stage and Rock the Fest competition winners Twenty-Six Other Worlds on the Rock Stage followed by Rug and No Snow No Alps.

Tomorrow, Friday 3rd August, Ivan Filletti and Airport Impressions will be performing on the Main Stage whilst bands Mikaela & Band, BNI and Bridget Bone will be rocking the Rock Stage.

Musical entertainment plays an important part in the festival, however the main star is the beer and the largest variety of local and international beer brands are available at the festival. In addition, for the first time this year, specialty beers such as Grimbergen Abbey Beers from Belgium and St Austell from the UK are also available.

The Farsons Great Beer Festival is an event for all the family and the kids’ area keeps the young ones entertained. This year, well-loved character Xummiemu has taken over the area and filled it with exciting environmental and educational entertainment.

After its phenomenal success last year, the festival’s official app has this year been upgraded to include added interactive features and has been extended to both iPhone and Android users. The app can be found by simply searching ‘Farsons’.

The general public is urged to make use of special public transport arrangements being offered by Arriva this year. More information is available on www.arriva.com.mt.
