A number of Carlsberg drinkers were put to the test recently when they were asked what they were willing to do to be at one of the Euro 2012 matches in June.

Gilbert Formosa branded his Jeep with Carlsberg wrapping and merchandise and carcaded in Bugibba, Daniel Bonello abseiled down Baystreet Complex, Paul Sammut branded a Maltese karozzin with Carlsberg merchandise and with a group of friends rode through Valletta singing loudly along the way, Kevin Camilleri ran a relay from Manoel Island to Baystreet Complex, whilst Chris Busuttil shaved the outline of the Carlsberg logo in his hair.

Four contestants were rewarded for their feats by a special Carlsberg jury and these were Gilbert Formosa, Daniel Bonello, Paul Sammut and Kevin Camilleri. They each won a Carlsberg VIP Hospitality Package and will be travelling to Ukraine for the Netherlands vs Germany match on 13th June

“Similar promotions ran in many countries where Carlsberg is present. The concept is based on the courage and reward platform which Carlsberg launched globally in 2011. It is all about fun and having the courage to step up and do something out of the ordinary… and to be rewarded for this act of courage,” said Ms Gabriella Galea Gusman, Carlsberg Brand Executive.

Carlsberg is brewed and packaged in Malta by Simonds Farsons Cisk plc.
