This month, when taking a sip from your pint of Guinness® raise a glass in honour of the life of a remarkable man, Arthur Guinness - founder of the globally renowned Guinness® brewery business, entrepreneur, visionary and philanthropist.

Arthur Guinness signed the 9,000 year lease at St James Gate Brewery in Dublin in 1759 and to mark this monumental milestone, global celebrations will be taking place on ‘Arthur’s Day’ on 24th September 2009.

Celebrations in Dublin, the spiritual home of Guinness®, will see internationally renowned music acts and Irish talent performing in several pubs, bars and music venues around the city, and some of the biggest names in the music world, Black Eyed Peas, Estelle, Kasabian, and The Enemy, performing live in the heart of St James Gate Brewery itself.

Simultaneously, celebrations will also be taking place in various pubs and bars around the Maltese Islands offering specially branded Guinness memorabilia on 24th, 25th and 26th September 2009.

Guinness® is imported, marketed and distributed in Malta by Farsons Beverage Import Company Limited, a subsidiary company of The Farsons Group of Companies.
