SKYY Vodka named Official Spirit of the most-talked-about movie of 2008
Skyy Spirits, the definitive marketer and distributor of super-premium and luxury spirits brands, announced today a comprehensive marketing deal to serve as the official spirits sponsor and promotional partner for the highly anticipated new film, Sex and the City. Skyy Spirits’ flagship product, SKYY Vodka, will serve as the official spirit brand of the movie.
Sex and the City fans have been clambering to see a feature version of HBO’s long running, highly popular television series for years, and now New Line has finally answered their pleas with a Sex and the City feature-length film. New Line Cinema has brought the beloved characters back to life with a storyline that is sure to please the millions of viewers who embraced the show each week during its six-year original run, and today in reruns.
To further enhance Sex and the City’s famed cocktail culture, Skyy Spirits will support the film’s release through a multi-dimensional marketing campaign, including product placement of Skyy Spirits’ expansive portfolio in the movie, featuring appearances by iconic brand SKYY Vodka.

Activities in Malta include a special premiere at Eden Cinemas on 30th May and another special premiere at Embassy Cinemas on 4th June. Other activities include promotion of Sex and the City cocktails in participating outlets, as well as reduced prices on SKYY Vodka Kinnie drinks.
