Pizza Hut gives St Julian's restaurant a major facelift 5/25/2006

Pizza Hut’s flagship restaurant in St. Julian’s has re-opened its doors with a fresh new look. Significant investment has transformed the restaurant from a franchise restaurant to a more casual-dining atmosphere, with a focus on ambient and clean, modern décor.

The St. Julian’s restaurant was the first in Malta to be opened under the Pizza Hut franchise, operated by Food Chain (Holdings) Limited. The opening was an instant hit with the locals and remains, till today, a very popular brand for its innovation and great food offers.

The restaurant operation has all been shifted upstairs on one floor and includes a beautiful terrace overlooking the stunning view of Spinola Bay. The overall area can accommodate more than 150 diners. The décor was designed to combine modern with the already old architectural features of the building.

Commenting on the transformation, Ms Stefania Conte, General Manager at Food Chain (Holdings) Limited, said, “Furnished with a completely new décor giving the restaurant a more relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, Pizza Hut is the family pizza place at an affordable price.” This is the second Pizza Hut new-look restaurant, after the opening of the new outlet in Bay Square, Bugibba. Other restaurants are to follow, with the new fresh décor.

Ms Conte also complimented on the Refurbishment Project Team, led by Food Chain Restaurants Operations Manager, Mr Alex Mifsud, for managing the project within the stipulated deadlines and up to Pizza Hut franchise standards.

Diners wishing to celebrate a special occasion or a birthday treat with family or friends will find the new look Pizza Hut at St. Julian’s, the ideal place to meet and share a meal.

Moreover, Pizza Hut diners are in for some nice treats this year. Huge investment is in the pipeline to change all pizza pans to bigger sizes, thus offering further ‘value-for-money’ deals and offers. Not mentioning the several original pizza ideas that will be launched shortly on the market.

“Innovation and creativity is a buzz word for Pizza Hut,” added Mr Marco Debono, Marketing Executive for Pizza Hut in Malta.

There are currently five Pizza Hut restaurants in Malta (Sliema, St. Julian’s, Valletta, Bugibba and Galleria – Fgura), which are operated by Simonds Farsons Cisk plc, through its subsidiary Food Chain (Holdings) Limited.
