Payroll and Benefits Executive 06/10/2017

Reporting to the HR Services Manager s/he will perform a variety of specialized HR and Payroll duties for the Farsons Group with an emphasis on proactive problem resolution and strong customer service. 

The selected person will be responsible to:

  • Ensure that company’s procedures and policies with regards to conditions of employment are up to date and in line with current employment law as well as with collective agreements;
  • Ensure the timeliness and thoroughness of payroll processing as per company procedures;
  • Administer the time and attendance policy and absence management policy for all employees;
  • Implement and maintain the best payroll practices to improve system efficiency in line with the company’s requirements;
  • Serve as a link between management and employees fostering a positive attitude towards organisational objectives;
  • Fullfill all govermental regulatory manadate and/or quality system requirements;
  • Participate in new employees on boarding processes in respect to payroll, benefits and absence management procedures;
  • Coordinate with government entities and other internal departments to manage various statutory claims;
  • Provide cost analysis, salaries and wages information for budgetary process and/or presentation of reports;
  • Follow up and seek improvement of critical HR KPIs including headcount, payroll and absence.

Most importantly you need to:

  • Have as, a minimum, a Diploma/Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent, together with an A Level Standard of education, with good and fluent writing skills in English and Maltese;
  • Have a minimum of 3 years working experience in an HR environment with strong payroll experience;
  • Be an effective communicator at all levels;
  • Possess good organizational skills;
  • Be ICT literate including presentation skills.
