The Carlsberg Man of the Match award of the Quarter Final played between England and Portugal on 24th June was presented by Marvin Ebejer from Marsa.

After watching the match from the VIP area in the Luz Stadium in Lisbon, Mr Ebejer was escorted to the Press Conference area to make the presentation. The Carlsberg Man of the Match award was accepted by Portugal Team Manager, Luiz Felipe Scolari on behalf of Ricardo Carvalho.  

Portugal’s Ricardo Carvalho won the Carlsberg Man of the Match award for his calm and assured display, keeping England striker Michael Owen at bay after scoring his first goal just three minutes into the game.

The presentation of Man of the Match Award is made by Carlsberg drinkers around the world. Carlsberg also offered this opportunity to one lucky Maltese Carlsberg drinker during a promotion held over the last few weeks.
